For those of you whom I did not thank personnaly last night for helping to serve feast, I would like to thank you now. Despite me being sick, being on lots of Asthma meds and my brain being fuzzy I think things went rather well.
I'd like to also thank Lord Cos and his kitchen crew for an amazing feast. And also our autocrats and their crew for pulling off such a great event.

So tonight I got to try out crossbow. I was nervous at the beginning because of my shoulder but it turned out to be fine. Cos is a great teacher and made learning easy. I am so excited about finding this groove. Now it's time to start saving the money for my new toy.

So today I went and got my eyebrows shaped and my arms waxed. Next week is going for a facial and a manicure. I love the look on James face when he saw me. It was priceless. It was the holy shit you look amazing look. After meeting up we went to the florist and picked and paied for our flowers. They are so pretty I can't wait. After that it was off to Costco to pick up Jelly Belly's (jelly beans)and some other stuff we needed. Tomorrow it's off to finalize the details of our reception and then in the evening it's my bachelorette. My best friend Charlene is in charge of it and as excited as I am to go out with the girls i'm also a little worried about what she has in store for me.
The last couple of weeks have been crazy busy. Since getting back from Pennsic it's been difficult getting back into the swing of things. We had a really great time and am really hopping to go back next year. Not to mention the shopping monster struck again :) I am now the proud owner of a round shield (in need of strapping), gaunlets from Egg Armories and a shiny new Norman style helm (in need of padding). There were other purchases but those are my favorite ones. We also got lots of pretty garb. I didn't get to any of the classes but I did spend time at Herald's Point. Got a few submissions done and some consulting too. Not to mention some contacts that will help me out with "online training" I'm happy all went well.
Well that's it for now.

I guess I'll get off my ass and post something. It's been awhile but I just have not been in the mood to write. I see so many people who are on my lj and I end of talking about stuff that when it comes to posting I figure others know why write it??
Oh well here is what's going on. I got hurt at work 7 months ago and am still of on CSST. Shoulder was not getting better in fact it was hurting more. I went to emerg at the MGH and then was sent to a rehab clinic. I saw an awesome specialist and am starting physio again. Also doing acupuncture. As creeped out as I was at the thought of having needles in my neck and shoulder it really helps. I am really hoping that all will be better by September and I can get back to SCA combat stuff.
On the wedding front it is now 56 days till the big day. I pick up my dress right before we leave for Pennsic. I'm excited to finally have it home with me :) My veil is done (my grandmother made it for me) Flowers are going to be picked and paid for when we come back from Pennsic. We sent out the invitations this week and already have responses back. I'm happy that everyone we did invite is coming. The only thing is that I had to cut my guest list down because the restaurant where we are having the reception can't have more people because they have another big party on the same day. I have to compete with some old lady's 90th b-day. For those people who won't be coming to the wedding I'll let you know that we are going to go out for supper sometime after when we get back from our honeymoon. Speaking of honeymoon's James and I are staying at the Delta hotel on our wedding night and the following weekend we are going up to an inn called Auberge des Gallant in Rigaud. I know it's not that far away but it's good enough for us to be away from family and the rest of the world.
I'm really excited because we are going to our first Pennsic. I'm leaving with kittyfantastico for land grab on the 27th of July and we will be back on the Sunday because everyone has to work. So we will be leaving on the 2nd of August. We still have so much to do to get ready. This weekend will be garb making. We are going up to hang out with Laurie at her cottage and help her with garb and at the same time work on our stuff where we will have no distractions. Also getting away from my grandmother will be really nice.
Well that sums up what's going on here. Hopefully I'll post more often.

So my weekend was going pretty good till yesterday. My best friend's fiance called to tell me that she had been in an accident. She is hospitalized at the Montreal General. She has a dislocated right shoulder and torn legiments in the left knee but the injury that is worrying all of us right now is the swelling on her brain. The bleeding stoped but swelling has not gone down yet. If it doesn't then the doctor's will have to do surgery and drill holes in her skull to relieve the pressure on the brain.
The accident happened on Saturday afternoon when my best friend (Charlene) and her fiance (Steve) were helping a friend clean out his house. They were installing a new hot water tank. Due to the rather large size of the tank they had to make a hole in the floor and then lower it into the basement. My friend backed into the hole and fell 6 feet and smacked her head onto the concrete floor.
James and I went up to the hospital yesterday where we sat with Charlene for a bit. It was so difficult for me to see her like this. She is one of those boucy people who is full of life and now she is stuck in bed and can't move because everything hurts and she is wearing a cervical collar. Her excitement for the time being is getting codeine shots. She says that it helps a bit but everything still hurts.
So my game plan for today is to go to Trudi's and feed her kitties and then i'm off to the hospital to visit my friend.

![]() You are dreamy and mystical, with a natural psychic ability. You love music, poetry, dance, and (most of all) the open sea. Your soul is filled with possibilities, and your heart overflows with compassion. You can be in a room full of friendly people and feel all alone. If you don't get carried away with one idea, your spiritual nature will see you through anything. |
